Description

An original monotype print on Japanese Hosho printmaking paper.
Printed using Akua intaglio inks, with a little watercolour added afterwards using Finetec paints.

It measures 39.5 x 28.5 cms.
It comes unframed and unmounted and will be sent carefully rolled between glassine sheets in a postal tube. It will be sent tracked and signed.

Monotype prints are artist one-off prints. This is a trace monotype, which means I laid the paper down on top of a printing ‘plate’ rolled out with ink. I then drew, pressed down with my fingers, on the back of the paper, which picks up ink on the other side, resulting in a truly unique image. This one has a few trace marks from a previous print, but this adds to the layering and interest in my opinion.
