Description

This is my second monotype made on my die-cut machine which I bought as a small etching press. It is printed on A4 size Kent printmaking paper, and I used my own handmade stencils to make a layered image in a few colours. This is the first “ghost print” of “Luna 1” available in a separate listing. Ghost prints are so-called because they are printed with the residual ink on a printing plate after pulling the first print. The ink tends to be lighter and so the resulting image is fainter. I added a very little pen linework (with Faber Castell lightfast and archival Pitt pens) on the face and cheek to complete the image. Printed using archival printing inks by Akua and Lawrence Art Supplies.

A monotype print is a one-off print that results in a unique image and cannot be made in an edition.

This listing is for the framed artwork which measures 40 x 31 cms.

It will be well packaged for transit and sent insured and signed for delivery
