Original collagraph print, small edition of only 9. Each one is different, and so I have listed each one separately in its own listing.

This is print no. 2.

I made the printing plate for this from a piece of foiled card that was used to package smoked salmon.
I had wanted to try tetrapak printing for a while, though I found this surface more fragile, and the card thinner than I would normally use for collagraph printmaking. As a result, some of the prints are quite pale as the plate didnˋt hold the ink as well as I would have liked. However, some of these are actually my favourite prints as the sketchy quality of the lines adds to the feeling of the swallows swooping and darting as they fly fast, feeding on the wing.

I live in the County Antrim countryside and this is a regular sight around the fields close to home: one I love to see every year. As you can probably tell from my portfolio of work, swallows are one of my favourite birds.

The printed area measures 17w x 16h cm.
The paper measures 28w x 26h cm.

Your print will be sent flat with cardboard and in a cellophane sleeve, in a cardboard envelope. It will be sent tracked delivery and include insurance in case of loss or damage.
