Description

An original drypoint print made by etching a drawing on to a piece of Perspex with a sharp tool such as an etching needle.

The edition number is 50.

The image is 20 x 20 cms and the paper measures 26 cms w x 28 cms h.

Your print will be sent flat with cardboard and in a cellophane sleeve, or carefully rolled in a postal tube.
It will be sent tracked and signed for delivery and insured in case of loss or damage in transit.

To pull a print, the “plate” with the etched drawing is wiped over with ink, and the excess, wiped off. This process takes time and is done for each new print made.
Previously soaked printmaking paper, which I blot to remove any excess water so that it’s now damp, is put on top of the plate, and this is put through an etching press.

Each print is truly unique, some darker than others, for example, depending on how I have prepared the plate.

in this piece, I have added a very light layer of coloured pencil using one of my favourite pencil ranges, Derwent Drawing pencils, which are 100% lightfast, meaning they won’t fade over time.

So each print is truly unique, and varies slightly one from another.
