An original monotype print.
This original one-off art piece was made by making a pastel drawing and transferring this to a gelliplate ( a surface that can be used to make one-off artist prints instead of using an etching press). The gelliplate was then covered in a light layer of white acrylic paint to pull the print on paper.
This is called a transfer print method and I particularly love the nuanced effect it produces, even more so than the drawing itself ( which is now basically ruined!)

For framing, I recommend mounting or framing up to the visible lines of the rectangular gelliplate, but it’s also up to you, as for some people those “quieter” areas or those with marks and lines, form an integral part of the complete image.

The paper measures 28.5 x 39.5 cms.
It comes unframed and unmounted and will be sent carefully rolled between glassine sheets in a postal tube. It will be sent tracked and signed for delivery.
