The black patterned dress in this painting is actually reclaimed fabric from a dress I wore while pregnant with my 3 children. My eldest is now 18! I bought it in Chile, where I lived till he was nearly 5, and it has many special memories attached. I loved the pattern so much that I wanted to repurpose the fabric, but I have painted over it in places too.

I often paint reclining figures, in peaceful poses whether in a stormy sea or a wild garden. Life can be difficult, and far from a bed of roses at times, but it is important to find time to pause, connect with creation, and find joy in the little things that we so often overlook.

Framed in a beautiful, ornate black wooden frame, which really adds to the painting. However, it is heavy, so postage costs, including insurance, reflect this. Please email me if you have any queries and thanks for looking.
