Description

This is an original artwork on quality watercolour paper. It has been painted with watercolours, and I have also used some watercolour ground to make a texture for the jumper which I worked into with tools to make patterns while wet, and painted over this when dry. I also machine-embroidered her hair, making a mixed-media artwork.
The paper measures 26 x 19 cm.
Mounted and framed with a natural oak frame measures 36 x 29 cm

My inspiration for this piece, which is a bit of a theme that I’d like to pursue, is an old Fisher-Price radio toy. 40 years later, it’s still in perfect working order and plays the tune “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head.” I love vintage and retro and am a bit of a magpie who likes to collect odds and ends. They might not mean much to others, but you just never know when they will inspire the next painting.
