About the artist
Working in a variety of media, in pencil, paint, and print, Judith's art often features simple scenes of everyday life. Some pieces start life captured in sketchbooks, others are committed to memory or conjured in dreams and imagination. Born and currently living in N. Ireland, the artist's academic background was in French and Spanish, leading to travel and working and living abroad in several countries, most notably Chile, where she met her husband, started raising a family, and called it home for almost a decade. This has arguably fostered a search for identity, belonging, and a sense of place, becoming common themes in her work, while her love of language and visual story-telling pays increasing testament to the strong narrative element in much of her practice. Currently, the Shop offers handmade artist prints for sale. These will be sent flat packed in a cellophane sleeve and hardbacked envelope, or rolled in a postal tube. More to be added soon!
